Day 2 Wildlife Tour in Murchison Falls

Enjoy an orientation walk of Zurich’s OLD TOWN, Switzerland’s center of banking and commerce. Then, leave Zurich and start your Swiss adventure. You’ll quickly discover that Switzerland isn’t just home to the Alps, but also to some of the most beautiful lakes. First, stop at the foot of the Jura Mountains in the picturesque town of Biel, known as Bienne by French-speaking Swiss, famous for watch-making, and explore the historical center. Next, enjoy a scenic drive to lakeside Neuchâtel, dominated by the medieval cathedral and castle. Time to stroll along the lake promenade before continuing to stunning Geneva, the second-largest city in Switzerland, with its fantastic lakeside location and breathtaking panoramas of the Alps.

In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls. The ride will reward you with games like crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers.  Dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Lodge /Pakuba Lodge / Sambiya River lodge /Budongo Eco Lodge.

Day 3Departure to Kampala

Option 1: You will have an early breakfast then head to Kampala, along the way, you will visit the Ziwa rhino sanctuary which was set up to reintroduce rhinoceros to Uganda following extinction in 1982. This 70 square kilometer sanctuary in an immaculate bush country is currently home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda.  The long-term goal is to build a sustainable rhino population and move rhinos back to their original habitat more so in Uganda’s protected areas.  After having lunch, embark back to Kampala, reaching by late afternoon

Option 2: For this option, we advise you to stay in accommodation located in the Budongo Forest: Sambiya River lodge or Budongo Eco Lodge. After an early tea or coffee, you will go for a chimpanzee tracking.  The Budongo Forest is one of the most varied forest faunas in East Africa and is a premier site for birdwatchers, as well as one of the best places to track chimpanzees in this part of Africa.  Don’t be surprised to meet red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, black-and-white colobus… and more than 250 butterfly species.  Return to the lodge for late breakfast or lunch and let’s go to Kampala reaching by late evening.
