Itinerary

Day 1. Welcome to Uganda.

On your arrival at Entebbe International airport, our company driver/guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, if you reach early you will be taken for a city tour in Kampala where you will visit the Kasubi royal tombs, The Uganda Martyrs shrine, Baha’i temple, the national museum, Gadhafi Mosque, the Buganda king’s palace and much more. Later the guide will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Xanadu hotel Kampala https://www.xanaducollection.com/

Day 2. Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Your driver guide will pick you from your hotel in the morning after breakfast and depart for Bwindi impenetrable forest, the home of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. Expect a stopover at the Equator line for photographs before proceeding to Mbarara for a lunch stopover. This is a 6-9 hours’ journey and goes through beautiful rolling hills of Kigezi and Ankole. Be sure of seeing numerous long-horned Ankole cattle, with high chances of finding antelopes, zebras and giraffes grazing along lake Mburo reserves. Reach by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable forest, at broadbill forest camp. http://broadbillforestcamp.com/

Day 3. Gorilla Tracking and cultural Excursion.

Wake up and prepare for the long awaited experience. Have an early breakfast, make sure you pack your jungle gears. our driver will transfer you to the park headquarters (remember to carry packed lunch) for briefing on how to behave while with the Gorillas. Gorilla tracking time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. Tracking goes through steep rocks, climbing up and down through slippery and muddy jungle grounds, thus making it tiresome. However, the thrill of encountering these giant Apes erases the poor spot you experienced in trying to find them. You will stay with them for 1hr for observation and photography. Descend to your hotel for a rest. After having a rest, go for a cultural walk in nearby communities of Batwa (Pygmies) where you will visit local schools and be entertained by some of the cultural dancers in the community, visit local doctors and taste the local brew. Dinner and overnight at broadbill forest camp. http://broadbillforestcamp.com/
