Our driver will pick you from your location and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator line, for photos and stretching, before continuing to Mbarara where you will have a lunch break. Later, you will proceed to Irungu Safari Lodge and check in. Early morning after a cup of tea / coffee, you will go for a game drive. This will provide you an excellent opportunity to see Leopards, Hippos, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog. In this park, you might also chance upon, over 10 Primates which include; Red tailed monkeys, L’Honest’s monkeys, baboons, velvet monkeys, Chimpanzees, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus and Olive Baboons, and much more.
Return to your lodge for full breakfast, relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch, go for afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, known for the highest concentration of hippos in Africa, with about 610 bird species. You will see a variety of game on the banks, seen drinking at the water's edge, where buffalos linger in the shallows, alongside a tremendous variety of birds, gracing the grasses on the shores. Common bird species include; the Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana and the rare shoebill. After breakfast and the adventurous experience, you will head back to Kampala, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped at either Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
